    • In Montana, drought is a given. It doesn’t matter whether we farm, fish, or run a business, drought has real, measurable impacts on our livelihoods, landscapes, and even our health.

    Montana’s Drought Management Plan helps us get a better handle on drought. It identifies the best, science-driven drought indicators to improve early warning. It helps us better identify varying drought impacts across communities, landscapes, and water uses.

    SW Cloud Seeding Feasibility Study

    The Montana Department of Natural Resources & Conservation (DNRC) hosted an information session for the public on recent legislation to study the feasibility of cloud seeding in the Big Hole Watershed .The session was led by Dr. Sarah Tessendorf, U.S. National Science Foundation National Center for Atmospheric Research, Research Applications Laboratory (NSF NCAR).
